Am I the right photographer for you?
My sessions and I are very relaxed. I am here to guide you but not pose you. I am looking for the moments of genuine connection between you and your people. I want you to play and move and love. The physical connections, the energetic connections, the heart connections. This is what my photography is about. It's not about making everyone look at the camera or ticking off some pre determined shot list. That's not how I work. Everything flows as it's meant to when you allow yourself to be in the moment. The images for YOUR family are co-created between you, me and the space we're in.
My sessions always get a little cross country with you and me playing down on the ground. Keeping everyone perfectly clean isn't my highest priority. I'm all about the love, connection, honesty, play, adventure and the perfectly imperfect.
What if my kids won't behave?
We work WITH how your kids feel on the day, never against it. We explore, play, chat and we WAIT. We let them warm up, we let them help make choices, we invite them in on THEIR terms. My sessions are always child led. I’m here to create a container where your family can simply BE. There is no need for perfect behaviour... whatever that even means. There is no need to apologise if your child is having a rough time or is tired or doesn’t want to talk to me. Their job is to be unapologetically THEM, my job is to work with whatever they bring on the day. I’m very patient and kids transition much faster when we allow them to feel their way through it. Also I’m like quick draw McGraw with my camera and it’s my job to get the shot no matter where the little people lead us.
Oh and when the images come back you'll wonder what you were ever worried about!

Those are the things that allow me to create beautiful images.
